All registered children are invited to attend an assessment.
Parents are required to sign an Acceptance Form, which includes confirmation that they have read and accepted the school’s Terms and Conditions, and to pay the required acceptance deposit.
Scholarships are awarded to talented and dedicated pupils who show outstanding potential academically, or who represent the School’s ethos.
We offer the following Scholarships for Year 3 only: Academic
Our Scholarship Programme is open to all existing pupils and prospective pupils. Parents of prospective pupils are asked to register and complete the Admissions process. They will be required to sit the standard entrance assessment and those applications who meet the scholarship criteria will then be invited to attend the annual scholarship assessment week prior to the academic year of entry.
To apply for a scholarship, you must fill in a registration form and either tick the scholarship box on the online registration form. You will then be contacted by our Registrar who will confirm dates and times for the Scholarship assessment.
We wish our child to join mid-year. Is this possible?
Should you require a mid-term or mid-year start, please contact Admissions to enquire about availability.
Do I need to share school reports with Thorpe when making an enquiry?
We request that a copy of your child’s latest school report is emailed to us prior to a visit.
My child has Special Educational Needs. Can we still apply for a place?
Most recent school reports and an Educational Psychologist’s report are requested before a visit and assessments.
Will Thorpe contact my child’s current school when we apply for a place?
Confidential school reports are requested after Registration and are considered before a place can be offered. Therefore, it is advisable for you to contact your child’s school in advance of registering.
Is my child required to wear their current school uniform on Taster Days and Assessments and what should they bring with them on the day?
We ask pupils to wear their current school uniform and will email details out to your before the day, so you can prepare with your child.
I need my child to stay later after the end of the school day. Is there provision for this?
After school club is available in the Lower School Library for our younger boys, from 15:30-18:00 hours. The boys have a snack, relax and play. This is chargeable.
