Beyond the classroom

Beyond the classroom

Our aim is to prepare our boys for tomorrow’s world and explore life beyond the classroom. Boys are encouraged to take part in a wide and diverse range of creative, sporting and general extracurricular activities whatever their level of ability as this helps self-motivation and encourages teamwork.

We have a wide variety of clubs which allows the boys to develop valuable skills, such as leadership and teamwork. The range of options is growing all the time and current clubs include chess, Christian Union, cooking, computing, public speaking and board games to name a few.

Duke of Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award gives boys (aged 14-24) the chance to develop skills for life and work, and achieve an award that is recognised by universities and employers alike.

We continue to invite parents to come and visit Thorpe House School whilst we operate a phased return for our pupils. Our Admissions team is available to answer any questions you may have about joining the school and the Headmaster would be delighted to give you a tour of the site. Please contact our Registrar on [email protected] to arrange a chat or visit.
