Creating giant atoms in the new Senior science lab!

Starting this September, Seniors will have the option to take chemistry, physics and/ or biology GCSE instead of combined science GCSE which has meant work took place over the summer holidays to create a second Senior science lab. The new lab has been put to use immediately and Mrs Grey-Morgan’s Year 10 class spent their lesson today creating giant atoms out of… pong balls! The ping pong balls represented protons, neutrons and electrons and the boys had to use the right numbers of each to create a giant atom.
