On the 28th of January the Year 10 Spanish students went to a GCSE Spanish conference in London. After collecting our lunch, we left school at 08:30 and travelled by coach to Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church. The conference started at 10:30 with a welcome video, and then we moved on to ‘Escucha bien’ which was a useful talk about how to do well in the listening exam.
The morning continued with more talks on how to improve our exams and write better controlled assessments. Afetr lunch, David Moore and Nathan Bennett bravely went up on stage and read out in Spanish different levels of text, before finishing the day with a very interesting talk on memory techniques about how to remember your controlled assessment. We left armed with lots of information and useful websites to continue our Spanish at home. Thank you to the MFL Department for organising such an informative day.
