Goedi monkeys, pygmy marmosets and toucans!

Year 2 had such fun at the Living Rainforest on Monday! We saw so many different plants and animals and learnt so much. Gavin loved the Goeldi’s monkeys who can jump 4m from one branch to another which is the equivalent of a person jumping the length of a tennis court! Charlie P, Charlie S and Logan were very careful where they stepped as there were birds and lizards roaming free! Akhil thought the snakes were amazing and the toucans very noisy! We all loved the pygmy marmosets, they are the smallest species of monkey in the world and we also learnt that the sting of the Ocellate River Sting Ray is made from dentine, the same substance that covers human teeth!
