The Pre-Prep boys demonstrated both leadership and fundraising skills in May and June by organising House charity days to raise funds for Daisy’s Days, an organisation raising money for an inspirational nine year old girl recently diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma (a rare form of childhood bone cancer). Each House Captain called a meeting with his House and collectively they discussed what fund raising activities to run:
Lancaster organised a bring-and-buy sale at break time and a bean bag race on the Pre-Prep field at lunchtime.
Windsor ran a smoothie bar with lots of fresh fruit and a mini marathon around the field at lunch time.
The boys were invited to run round the perimeter a maximum of five times and everyone from Reception to Year 2 took part with some boys even managing to do five laps (it’s further than you’d think!).
York organised a guess the number of sweets in the jar stall at break time and a penalty shoot-out competition.
Tudor made bags of popcorn to sell and organised a Pre-Prep sponsored silence.
The four charity days raised over £1000 for Daisy’s Days, well done to everyone at Pre-Prep!
